Your top ten (accomplishments) of 2010...

We complete one thing and then pile right into the next. Contemporary life seems to say, "Ok, you completed that, now you have to do this." It all starts to blur together. We always have this seemingly insurmountable thing out in front of us. After a while, it can feel like we are not getting anywhere. From time to time, it is essential to look back and acknowledge what you have accomplished. And what better time for it than this introspective time of year...

I heard someone refer to "Your top ten of 2010." She is referring to your top ten accomplishments. She is making all of her students do it. I thought I would pass it on to you.

So what is your top ten for 2010? You could start with your most significant. I did mine chronologically and had twelve. However your mind works- it doesn't matter. Just do it.

If you have a similar experience to me, you will start remembering that you accomplished some really significant things in 2010. You might say, I put a lot of time and energy into that.

You might also start to see how one accomplishment opened the door for others. This is huge. It is really important to have continuity in your life. You see the things that opened the door to where you are now. It also instructs as to where you need to go next. This links the different experiences of your life together.

So we have moved from a blur of overwhelm to a sense of meaningful connections. This gives us closure by allowing us to make sense of our past experiences. Which in turn, opens the door for something new...

Want to keep going? Try your top ten of the past decade.
