"The Hereafter" characters follow their passion

I recommend seeing the movie, The Hereafter (Warner Brothers trailer link)- directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Matt Damon. It addresses some powerful emotional issues and how people work through them extremely well. It is emotionally intense and is not for those looking for a light night of adventure and entertainment. Clint Eastwood continues to make beautiful, powerful films.

What I enjoyed most about The Hereafter is how the three main characters followed their passion. It gets worse before it gets better for them. But they all put everything on the line to follow their passion. They get to the point where they just needed to know. They wanted to know bad enough that they did whatever it took to find out. When human beings get to this point, things start to happen.

I view it as the characters' serious intention and meaning business with what they wanted set off a chain of seemingly random events that led them closer to what they wanted. One thing led to another and they never lost sight of what they were after.

It reminded me of the Joseph Campbell (link) quote: "Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls." I have found it to be true that if we get serious enough about knowing something or creating something, things will start to unfold."

So are you "all in" with the things that you what to know or create? How bad do you want it? Are you willing to do whatever it takes?
