Static versus Flowing Energy

shutterstock_29819632-cropWhen we close ourselves off from life, our life energy becomes static. It is like a pond with no inlets or outlets that becomes stagnant. On the other hand, if we allow energy in, let it flow through us, and release it, our energy is flowing and dynamic. And as soon as we release energy, it creates space for new energy to flow in.

It requires a slight adjustment to work with the energy that is flowing through us rather than working with what we considered to be our energy. In actuality, the energy never really was ours. We were just channeling and expressing it through ourselves. So people that have “good energy” are merely good at allowing universal energy to flow through their heart center. It is the way that their heart reflects the energy that gives it their unique signature.

This is best accomplished by not attaching to the energy. We have to trust that when we let this energy go, new energy will flow into us. We also have to trust that we will be able to successfully work with the energy. Tai chi (shown in picture) is a way that many become more aware of life energy and more confident in working with it.

The only difference between working with flowing energy (versus static) is that we have to be more flexible and willing to let go of control. We are merely getting out of the way and allowing energy to flow through us. It is a natural process. So ultimately we have to trust ourselves enough to let go.

This discussion should bring a new insight to the Star Wars lines, “Let go Luke. Use the force.” The force, of course, is the energy that is trying to flow through us all the time.
